Reaching Many Nations
After serving as American missionaries in China for 17 years, the Lord led us, the Rice family, to Italy, initially to minister to the Chinese diaspora. After one year of serving in Italy, the Lord blessed us with an international ministry, bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Chinese, Italians, Romanians, African refugees, and ex-patriots from around the world who live in and around Lucca, Italy.
We are currently balancing intense Italian language/cultural studies with the ministry of preaching, leading and training in evangelism and Bible studies, Youth Group leaders, etc. in a small Italian, Christian church. We also have developed specific ministries engaging the Chinese diaspora, African Refugees, and others, with the desire to graft them into God's family and our church.

Outreach Areas
Chinese Diaspora
After serving as missionaries in China for over 17 years, the Lord has led us to minister to the Chinese diaspora in Italy. We live in Lucca, just 45 minutes away from the largest population of Chinese people anywhere in Europe. Shortly after our arrival, we saw the needs of the African refugees and local Italians, as well as the Chinese immigrants.

Christian Church
We are assisting a small Christian church in the city of Lucca, Italy. The church has struggled to survive for about 20 years, and currently has only 16 members. Brian preaches on a regular basis and is part of the evangelism leadership team at the church. We are building up the body by establishing new relationships and bringing people into the church.

Campus Ministry
There are more than 50,000 university students in Pisa, many of them international students, far from their families and homelands. We are seeking to reach these disconnected students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through meaningful English activities and outings.

English Outreach
Our free English tutoring attracts the many and creates a setting for building relationships that can bring the lost to Christ. First, we attempted to teach groups, however we discovered that it is more effective relationally to teach one-on-one or have language exchange partners.
