Step Five -Fundraising Training
This fundraising course should take about an hour to complete. In this course you will put together your fundraising plan for the remainder of the year. You will complete this plan each year, providing you and Perception Funding with measurable goals for your ministry.

Procedures
- To allow ministry partners access to efficient and alternative means of payment for approved expenses, especially expenses related to business travel and supplies.
- To improve managerial reporting related to credit card purchases.
- Ministry credit cards will be issued to staff and ministry leaders upon approval of the Operations Director and Financial Operations Coordinator.
- Credit cards will be used only for business purposes. Personal purchases of any type are not allowed.
- The following purchases are not allowed:
- Personal items or loans
- Purchases involving trade-in of ministry property
- Rental (other than short-term autos)
- Any items deemed inconsistent with the values of the ministry
- Cash advances on credit cards are not allowed
- Cardholders will be required to sign an agreement indicating their acceptance of these terms. Individuals who do not adhere to these policies and procedures will risk revocation of their credit card privileges and /or disciplinary action.
Procedures
- Credit cards may be requested for prospective cardholders to the Operations Director or Financial Operations Coordinator.
- Detailed receipts must be retained and submitted to the office. In the case of meals and entertainment, each receipt must also include a statement of the date, names of all persons involved in the event, and a brief description of the business purpose of the purchase, in accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations.
- Detailed receipts must be submitted to the office within thirty days of the initial charges to enable timely payment of amount due.
- All receipts submitted for payment must include the associated expense accounts clearly written on the receipt or on an attached statement.
- If you become aware of fraudulent charges on your card please let our Financial Operations Coordinator know as soon as possible and call the Chase phone number on the back of the card to notify them as well.
