Our June was consumed with non-cash donations as we led an estate sale (for our staff's home church, Vox Dei Community) raising over $5,000 for their future meeting space. On top of that we received a 15 passenger van donated for one of our Ministry Partner, All Nations, which we're still in the process of liquidating. We also received a generous donation of guns and knifes that have been fun for Sean to research and sell. We still have a mini-van and motorcycle lined up to be donated this summer. The IRS statistics show that an estimated 91% of America`s wealth is in non-cash assets, yet the vast majority of non-profit organizations receive less than 20% of their gifts from these assets. We believe it's time for non-profits to capitalize on these assets as it is a valuable resource. To do this we've provided an easy way for supporters of our ministry partners to begin the non-cash donation process online. Check out our online giving page and click on non-cash to learn more!
Ministry Partner: Littleton Young Life
This June was the second year in a row we helped Littleton Young Life raise funds. They had riders compete in the Denver Century Ride, a 100 mile bike race through the mountains around Denver, Colorado. We helped them by providing a web page with pictures of each of the riders and details of the race. Riders were able to share the link to the web page through social media and email. Supporters would follow the link and click on the photo of the rider they wanted to support and make a donation for their efforts. In total the five bikers raised over $2,800 towards the on-going work of Littleton Young Life, to share the gospel with middle school and high school kids. It's such a blessing to be able to help Young Life areas around the country in many different ways.
Our ministry giveDIGNITY in Costa Rica is growing quickly as they faithfully serve the people in the La Carpio slum. Please pray as we're working on purchasing a property in the slum to build a gathering space for giveDIGNITY to minister out of. This would allow giveDIGNITY to reach so many more people and give the legitimacy as they work to become a Costa Rican non-profit.
Our staff's home church, Vox Dei Community, is working to find it's future meeting space. Please pray as decisions are being made these next few weeks.
