FUNDRAISING... In April we began filming our biggest video project yet. We are filming five videos for ministries in Kansas City whom the Church of the Resurrection has been completing significant construction projects for. In the end we will make one video for them to share with their congregation and five individual videos, one for each of the ministries. On April 25 we assisted Belton Young Life with their first golf tournament. During the tourney we had a two hour rain delay. So, we put together an indoor putting competition, which made for an entertaining time and a great way to raise extra money. In the the end everyone got to golf eighteen holes without getting wet and over $3,000 was raised for kids to go to camp this summer. Also, this month we wrapped up our fifth annual spring flower sale. This year three Young Life areas, and Covenant Chapel a church in south Kansas City all participated in selling over $10,700 worth of flowers. THE LISTEN PROJECT... We are now coordinating volunteers in Hope Faith Ministries kitchen. On the fourth Friday of every month we will take volunteers to serve 500 meals from 8am - 11am.
