I've been officially back from sabbatical for a month now. I'm so blessed to have such an awesome team who took care of ministry while I was gone. There are lots of levels of complexity not only raising funds for organizations in other countries but also getting them the funds. Shilo, Joy, and Melissa handled it superbly with just a few hiccups and stressful moments. My time away has increased their passion and awareness for the impact our mission is having on so many lives. I'm also very thankful for all our supporters, for both your prayers and your financial contributions. God has continued to provide through you all and my gratefulness cannot br expressed in words.
If you have not yet read about how I spent my sabbaticalyou can read more here.
Cory and Leslie Young are some good friends of ours who run a ministry called Golden Spur Ministries out of Belton, MO. Cory travels all over the midwest while ministring to rodeo particiapants and staff members. He also serves with the Kansas High School Rodeo Association, and just wrapped up state finals with the students he works with there. In the month of June, he attended three Rodeo Bible Camps and the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Lebanon, TN (which totaled 8,000 miles traveled in a month!). Summertime is a busy season for Golden Spur. Please pray for sustained energy and joy in their work, and for Leslie as she faithfully supports Cory, sometimes from states away. These two are so precious to us, and we find great fulfillment in being on their team. To learn more about Cory & Leslie and the work they are doing, check out their website here!
Melissa, our Web Developer, and her husband, Corey, are excitedly awaiting the birth of their second child - a little boy! She is due the end of July. Please pray for a healthy few weeks, and for energy - as she is very busy chasing their 2 year old around!
We have several potential new Ministry Partners: pray for wisdom and guidance as we make the decision to expand our Ministry.
August will bring two Silent Auctions that we will be hosting. Pray for high attendance and that the purpose and needs of the ministry partners will be clearly communicated.
