Impact August 2012

FUNDRAISING... Throughout June and July we have brought on three new ministry partners, which makes a normally slow summer, busy. I think with our consistent growth over the past three years we won’t have another slow summer for quit a while. Our new ministry partners are: Hand Pressed – A skateboarding ministry, lead by Ryan Brown, that will raise funds in the U.S. by putting on events and selling gear. They will then recruit skaters to go to Costa Rica and build a legitimate skate park with one of our long time ministry partners. This will be a great way for Ryan to reach out to skater kids and share his faith with them. Plus, this will be an amazing opportunity for our ministry partner in Costa Rica to get disinterested kids involved in their local ministry. Roca Blanca – Emily Davis will be teaching English at the Roca Blanca mission base in Mexico beginning in September. She will be joining two other ministry partners of ours, Jolynne Meyers who works in the medical clinic and Beth Brown who operates the guesthouse. Adoption Ministry – Chad and April Wright are in the process of adopting a little boy from Ethiopia to add to their family. The Wrights will be our third family this year for us to help raise the needed funds to cover their adoption costs.   PRAYER... For our first three years of existence Perception Funding was a ministry of our local church, Vox Dei Community. In November of 2011 we completed and submitted our 501c3 application to the IRS for tax exemption. They are now finally reviewing it!!!! Please join us in prayer for no hang-ups and a quick approval!
