To truly hear and love those in the midst of these struggles. Having spent many years serving in a difficult corner of the world I usually felt alone, that everything was completely resting on my own shoulders…raising and maintaining support, learning a new language, the pressure of needing to take any opening to develop a possible relationship, starting up a business to maintain visas and just a dash of culture shock and fatigue mixed in! When we came back to the States I wrestled with what was the purpose of all the struggle, all the “right” theological answers only sank so far down into my heart. That was until I had a call with someone still on the mission field with Perception Funding, and I was able to hear their struggles and relate to them…and even laugh together about things you’d only really understand having gone through it yourself! It has been an honor to be part of the Perception Funding Partner Care team, it has given me a platform to use my experiences (good AND bad!) to truly hear and love those in the midst of these struggles as they share the love of Jesus.     I have spent the last 9 months working with a missionary in an extremely violent part of the world. When he talks of deaths in the street, I don’t give a pat Bible explanation, but having experienced that myself, I’ve been able to sit there and cry with him and extend Christ’s compassion in that situation. He has tried to sign up for a Christian counseling service and was put on a four month wait list, and then told each session would cost more than his monthly grocery budget. But being a partner with Perception Funding has allowed him the ability to talk through these things with me and others on my team, and though we are NOT counselors, the act of being able to talk through the struggles of his life and ministry has allowed him to acknowledge them as real, and naming the problems has given space for the Holy Spirit to work.  - Jeremiah, Cultural Intelligence Specialist   MEET THE PARTNER CARE TEAM GIVE TODAY 39  Countries Impacted $15,451,826  Raised So Far 93  Partnering Organizations Copyright © 2022 Perception Funding, All rights reserved.
