In a recent sermon at Vox Dei Community (the church that our staff attends), the pastor Rustin Smith challenged us that in order to truly experience God we have to get past what is practical and sensible. He reminded us of a core belief of Christianity, that the God we believe in died and came back to LIFE! A few days later Jonathan was reading about C.S. Lewis. Back in 1959 a man wrote a letter to C.S. Lewis and asked him to recommend books on instructing children. Lewis responded by saying, "Most of those I have seen seem namby-pamby and sissy..." C.S. Lewis then pointed the man to Jesus saying, "Jesus will frighten and puzzle us. If He does not, perhaps we have substituted a more palpable Jesus in place of the violent love he expounds and exposes for us."
This is why Perception Funding does what it does - Christ is alive! Others need to know it! and there's no "namby-pamby or sissy" stuff allowed.

One of our newest Ministry Partners is Hope Albania, a Christian school in Peshkopi, Albania. Dan and Dawn Hall are transforming lives in this impoverished place and below is a story from Dan about a boy named Jahje.
"This week has reminded me of one of my teaching strengths and that is motivating through small group study and tutoring. I have found that through the relationships we're developing (and humor), students that used to sit and stare out the window, or with their heads on their desks are eagerly asking me questions as they try to write things or say things correctly. Thanks to your continued prayers one student in particular who was in our infamous 5th grade class last year has significantly improved. Last year he didn't care, caused problems, and was disrespectful. This year he has improved to the point of being in the upper half of the class and is the most eager learner. He and I can carry on a simple conversation in English."
Praises & Needs
Our staff (Jonathan is taking the picture) working at our big community desk! Having a great team is such a blessing and the unique strengths that each of us bring has allowed us to help more even people and spend additional time with our Ministry Partners.
Pray for our Ministry Partners as they finish fundraising plans for 2016 and for Jonathan as he meets with them to discuss the plans and implementation.
