FUNDRAISING... June marked the end of our spring fundraising season with a silent auction for Healing House. Healing House has faith-based recovery homes in the Kansas City metro area. They provide spiritual growth, emotional stability and direction to prepare men and women on their journey of recovery from addiction. The silent auction was a great success with over 300 people in attendance and raising over $21,000 towards the works of this great ministry! Also, over the last six weeks I have been mentoring three summer interns from Covenant Chapel, who all plan to go into full-time ministry. It has been a great opportunity to share all I have learned in ministry over the past ten years. Specifically, we have discussed the spirituality of fundraising, having good stewardship with their own personal finance and our calling to serving in full-time ministry. This has been a rich and energizing time and I look forward to continuing own throughout the rest of the summer.
PRAYER... The program we have used for four years to design and maintain twenty websites for our ministry partners will no longer be supported on any type of computer system. We will be able to continue to use it until we update our computers but we are now looking for a new program to learn and begin to transition to. This is an important part of our ministry as websites are an amazing way for ministries around the world to communicate with their supporters and for supporters to be able to give online. Also, Pray for our Perception Funding summer projects; developing guidelines, procedures, and an application process for ministry partners, and building a new modern website to help manage our growth.
