At Perception Funding, a 501(c)(3) organization, our primary focus is to teach Christian-based organizations how to fundraise and to assist them in their fundraising efforts, in turn creating more effective ministries. Our target audience is any Christian organization charged with raising funds to carry out their ministry. This includes individuals, missionaries, churches, non-profit outreaches, and other like organizations. Since October 2008, Perception Funding has directly  raised over $375,000 for our ministry partners plus we have assisted in raising our partners over $1.5 million. Not only do we raise funds for these ministries and causes, we equipped them with the skills needed to become capable fundraisers.

Our second focus is the Listen project. This project will create opportunities for accompaniment and friendship with the poor. Incorporating the stories of the poor and marginalized, the Listen project will develop resources to guide those who choose to listen into a path of spiritual formation that is compassionate. Resources will include, but not be limited to, books, short documentaries, Bible studies, a blog and the leading of immersion trips.

Our third focus is on disaster response. We aim to set aside funds throughout the year in the event of a disaster so that we can send a team to help serve the people in need. In February of 2010 we lead a medical team of twelve into Port Au Prince, Haiti to run the Haitian Community Hospital for ten days. Currently we are partnering with the Global Orphan Project to help fund the Bienac Orphanage in Gonaives, Haiti. Our second trip to Haiti will be the first week of September 2010. Here we will be spending time with the orphans, helping with their church and exploring avenues to develop businesses/projects to fund the orphanage for years to come.
